Our prime aim is:

To belong to Jesus Christ - To live for his glory.

St. Peter's Church, Chantilly, is a primarily English-speaking church, with a congregation made up of members of many different nationalities and Christian denominations. We are part of the Church of England Diocese in Europe, which is a member of the worldwide Anglican Communion of churches, which are usually known as either Anglican or Episcopalian churches.

We also work in partnership with ICS, the Intercontinental Church Society, which sponsors and supports ministry and mission amongst English-speaking people, mainly in Europe, but in a number of other places in the world. Direct contacts to the above organizations can be found on our Links page.

The services at St. Peter's vary in style, from quite formal to quite informal. Preaching God's word is taken very seriously within that variety and Holy Communion is celebrated regularly. The pattern of our services can be found under Activities/Services and the programme under Activities/Calendar

The congregation on Sunday morning at 10h30, in school term time, usually averages around 90, with more than a third of the congregation being under 16. For information about our children's and youth groups, please look under Activities/Young People.

St Peter’s is financially independent and relies entirely on the giving of its members to cover the costs of its chaplain, building maintenance, administration, the 'quota' payable to the diocese and, importantly, donations to external missions and charities. Many members of St. Peter’s have pledged to support the church by a regular financial commitment and this has been an enormous help in the management and stewardship of our finances. However we currently have a shortfall between expenditure and income.
